Our troop has a lot of fun doing a big variety of activities. We have gone camping many times and we really enjoy it, especially if there are showers and flush toilets! We have also enjoyed caving, canoeing and horseback riding. Just click on the links to the left to find out more about our adventures.

High Adventure Camp 2001

The High Adventure Camp was very fun.  First we had to earn trust.  We played a lot of different games to earn the other girls trust.  Then after we did that, we went through a tire that was 6 ft. off the ground.  We had to go through that.  After we did that we went to the “Vertical Playpen.” Susan and I made it to the top beam and held on to the triangle.  Everyone did very well.  Then we moved to the climbing tower.  We also did a cat walk.  It was about 50 ft. off of the ground and when we were off at the end of the walk we went down a zip line.  We had a real good time.

Lock-ins

Council wide Lock-in for Brownies and Juniors

On March 23, 2001 we had a Girl Scout lock-in. The cadettes and seniors were a major part of it. We helped daisies and brownies. We taught sponge painting, painting with coffee filters and markers, play dough shapes, and songs. We also went swimming, ate pizza and snacks, and much more…Some of the Girls that attended were Shaina, Erica, Megan, Samantha, Natalie, Lindsey, Jessica, Susan, Tiffani, Kristy, Ashley, Jennifer, and Kayla. It was very fun to meet and teach younger girls.

Spa Lock-in

We had six girls from our troop attend a Cadette/Senior G.S. Spa Lock-in. First we did yoga and had a lot of fun. Then we made fuzzy slippers with flip-flops and fur. They felt really good on our feet. After that we had free time and went swimming. We stayed up and talked for quite awhile, then went to sleep. In the morning we did manicures and facials. We made the masks for our facials from food items, it stunk, but it made our faces really soft. The last thing that we did was learn about massages.

Thinking Day 2001

This year our troop studied Italy. We had a blast. We had guests from Sicily, Italy come talk to us about like in Italy. Their life was a struggle. We had an Italian dinner. It consisted of lasagna, garlic bread, Italian salad, Italian soda, Italian cookies, and fruit salad. We prepared it, cooked it and enjoyed it.

We had a lot of fun playing Italian games and dances. One of our favorite dances was the Tantella. This dance was so fun to learn. Over all this was a great learning experience for everyone.

Build-a-Bear

Build-a Bear is a fun place were you pick out a bear, cat, dog, etc… Then you take it over to the stuffing machine and you stuff it. Then you brush the fur. After you stuff your animal you name it and make a birth certificate for it on the computer. Last you can select some nifty clothes for your new friend. We really enjoyed going to Build-a-Bear.
